Welcome to The Country Mouse Nursery School! Our light, open-plan classrooms are set close to nature and woodland walks in the heart of the South Downs in Midhurst. We have childcare places for 0 to 5-year-olds, and after-school and holiday care for 5 to 8-year – olds. We are open daily from 7.30 until 6.30 all year round.

Discoverers room is full of developmental resources, encouraging the curiosity of our tiniest members.

Our Explorers room is a light, spacious and wonderful room enabling learning, exploration and growing independence.
Inventors 3-5
Room
Our Inventors explore and relax in their 2 homely indoor rooms as well as free flow to an expansive outdoor learning and play space.
What We Offer

We realise the demands and pressures parents have in their lives so we offer many different, flexible sessions to suit every parent's needs. Whether you need a funded or self-funding place, or have vouchers from work, we will always endeavour to find what works best for you.
We not only have a fantastic homely indoor provision providing children with amazing invitations to play, building children’s curiosity through awe and wonder, we also have our huge outside areas which are full of music stations, art areas, growing areas, water walls, mud kitchens and added to our great outdoor spaces for Forest School, we now have on the way shelter building, more planting allotments, bantams and chickens, rabbits, and guinnaepigs.

The Country Mouse Childrens Nursery is an excellent nursery in Midhurst, 10 minutes from Petworth and 20 minutes from Chichester, with childcare places for 2 months-5 year olds. We can offer your child fabulous fun filled days of activities to help them learn and make lots of new friends. We have a beautiful large garden with brilliant outdoor learning.
